Bigpot

Introducing Bigpot, our state-of-the-art wet dilution refrigerator. It integrates both low-frequency and microwave transmission lines, making it versatile and adaptable for various applications. It is currently used to perform capacitive measurements of quantum nanofluidic samples, and microwave optomechanics measurements. In addition to these technological features, Bigpot comes equipped with two dedicated fill lines enabling the study of helium-based experiments such as in superfluid optomechanics. A standout feature of Bigpot is its generously sized 1 K pot. Not only does this give it its memorable name, but it also ensures a prolonged operational period, as it rarely runs dry. Its base temperature is currently around 20 mK. This combination of functional capacities makes Bigpot an excellent asset for our cooling requirements.
